CELEBRATING
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THREE INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED AWARDS:
ISO 9002, ISO 14001 and
HACCP
Massages
from Senior Executives
On the occasion of achieving ISO 9002, ISO 14001 and HACCP
With a 29-year-old tradition of providing both local and overseas
markets with quality canned pineapple and other fruit and
vegetable products, Siam Food Products Public Company Limited
(Siam Food) is today one of the largest manufacturers and
exporters of canned pineapple products in Thailand.
The
company’s success is in – no small way – due to its emphasis
on producing quality products, a fact that is reflected in
the company’s early acceptance by renowned retailers and wholesalers
around the globe. Because of the stringent quality requirements
of its customers, Siam Food faced no great difficulty at all
when implementing its internationally recognised quality systems.
In fact, ISO 9002 implementation took only six short months.
Nevertheless, the company’s ISO 9002 quality system benefitted
Siam Food in several ways. Through more extensive documentation,
the company’s processes became more transparent and analysis
was made easier. And, most importantly, the company gained
the instant customer assurance which the ISO 9002 certification
brings with it.
The
company’s recent ISO 14001 accreditation is proof of the company’s
commitment to caring for the environment. As an environment
based company, Siam Food has always adhered to the “care for
the environment and it will care of you” motto.
In
addition to its ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 awards, Siam Food was
also awarded the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
certificate at the end of last year. Awarded by the Campden
& Chorleywood Food Research Association of the U.K., the
audit was carried out in conjunction with Thailand’s National
Food Institute. To receive such a prestigious award, Siam
Food had put in place hazard analysis and critical control
points to check food, physical, chemical and biological safety.
